A beautiful restored mission with incredible gardens. Even if you are not catholic or religious it is very interesting to see and read about the history of the mission. There is a very informative little museum. It makes for spectacular photos!

Beautifully restored mission with many original elements still in place. Favorite hangout and burial ground of father Junipero Serra, the founder of the California missions. Conveniently close to the end of 17 mile drive coming from Monterey.

In guide books this place was described in a very positive way. It was a nice place but not as great as it has been described.

Call and ask 831-624-1271. If you see a tour bus in the parking lot, I would suggest come back at another time.
