This shopping center is located across Hwy 1 from downtown Carmel and has many shops and restaurants. All local not chains and huge variety.

Very quaint, easy walking on brick paths. LOTS of little restaurants, shops. Great walking with your pet! Very safe area, upscale, worth the visit! Try the SUR restaurant or Aabha restaurant for incredible food, and a great little breakfast/lunch restaurant on lower level. Easy parking....More

The Barnyard has great potential but tenant turnover over the years has taken a toll on the value of this being a tourist destination. If you are looking for a realtor, yoga class or other service you might find what you are looking for.

We had some time to kill on Sat and decided to walk around the center. Good selection of small shops and stores. We found a nice restaurant that we came back later that evening and had dinner. Very clean and well maintained.

We loved the setting at the Barnyard shops. It is on a hillside. Multi-level cute shops with lots of unique finds. There are high end consignment stores with al sorts of amazing finds, shoes, hats, jackets, designer outfits and more. We shopped up a storm...More

We stayed on this end of Carmel and ended up here more than Ocean Ave. good array of restaurants at better prices than Ocean Ave. not a must do in any sense but useful if you're staying near.

A bunch of small shops on several levels. It was pretty being outside but the shops didn't impress or maybe it was the prices in the shops that didn't impress. :)
