It's a quaint little park that has an extremely impressive coastal oak tree and pine tree, but otherwise it's just a basic little area to relax. Grass areas don't appear to be kept at all, so the lawn was rather sloppy looking. Fantastic weather makes it a pleasant quick stop, but I wouldn't make this a "must see" spot.

Bathrooms were clean, beautiful garden plants and right amount of seating alongside meaningful memorials. Well done

This park is at the top of Ocean Avenue in Carmel. It is small and peaceful. It is a no dog park, so that is an added bonus for non-dog owners. There is a small pond with fish. It is a nice place for a picnic.

Although there are no picnic tables in this small park near the downtown, there are plenty of benches, garbage cans and a public bathroom to make a quick meal possible.
There is also a small grocery store about a block away to pick up any missing items for your picnic.

Remember when people put plastic on the living room furniture to protect it? This is how this park feels. It is exceedingly well cared for and picturesque, but no dogs allowed, not even on a leash. You can roll around in the grass without having to worry, I guess.

A lovely little park in downtown Carmel. It is a great place just to take a break if you are our shopping or just touring around. There are some washrooms to one side of the park that are in reasonably good condition. We bought lunch at the deli across the street and ate it at one of the park benches that are found around the park. Waste receptacles are provided. Nice open grassy area with shade trees along the edge - the benches are located under the trees.

At the top of Ocean Avenue. Go to one of the local bakeries/delis with a block or so, and picknick in the park as a break from window shopping Carmel-by-the-Sea's unique shops.

Devendorf Park has been the major park in the city forever. A nice grassy area with a fish pond, benches strategically placed both in the sun and the shade giving a nice place to sit.

A nice, quaint park in the middle of town with benches. Great place to take a picnic lunch. Trees surround the perimeter of the grassy area, so it's quiet from the cars passing by.

Such a wonderful place to rest, relax and rejuvenate after a wonderful day of shopping. Just sit or lay on the grass with your significant other or pooch and take in the beautiful ocean breeze.
