My husband and I visited Carmel Beach on Sunday March 24th and the afternoon was gorgeous. The beaches are clean and fully of lovely people with their dogs running about. The waves are powerful and I would not recommend swimming here (signage said the same). But absolutely lovely beach for a good day and walk.

This is a beautiful beach with plenty of views and room to walk, explore and enjoy. The parking lot can fill quickly so if you arrive late or in season expect to spend some time circling and searching for a spot. This is a great beach for swimming but always watch for waves, currents and surfers in the area. After you’re done there’s a great variety of restaurants for a lite bite or full meal close by. Definitely add to your itinerary if you’re in the area or plan on going.

Plenty of room to find a spot. It's a little difficult to find parking so go early. The trek down to the beach is pretty steep so if you have a cart or wagon beware coming back up is tough. Great beach to spread out.

The day we spent on Carmel Beach was very nice weather wise. Nearly impossible to get a car park anywhere near the beach, eventually we found one on a little side street close to the beach. Best to arrive early as Carmel is a very popular town. The water was terrific, just right for the young Grandson to play with his boogie board, nice and safe, very busy. Keep your eye on your kids especially when their in the water
