I've played this course, off and on, for nearly 45 years. It just seems to get better. Leave your ego in the first tee because it will humble you if you're not hitting it perfect. It's such a great test of golf and I guaranty...More

This gold course is near my home in Carmichael. It is an excellent course and fun to play although I haven't played there for years.

Old school means tough with a lot of tree trouble and well placed hazards. It's relatively flat but get in the trees and you're dead cause you have to make it back out for some long approach. For a couple years it went into some...More

A cool day with blue skies and very few people on the course. This is a peaceful place as there is no traffic around it. The trees have matured nicely and the course is well maintained.

Free to park, inexpensive to play, and a very reasonably priced menu at their diner. And on you way out of the park, visit Effie Yaw Nature Center.

Love this golf course and the staff is great too. You will really enjoy the deer and the fowl that are frequent visitors. The course is maintained nicely and they have a good pro shop. There is a cafe grill on site too.

Great public course if you can hit the ball straight on command. Lots of blind shots. Greens and bunkers are usually in great shape. Not as much fun if the course is wet.

Played with friends after absence for a few years. The course is challenging enough for the better players but playable enough for us duffers. Greens were sufficiently groomed and shop personnel helpful.

I love this golf course! It's easy to walk and wild animals are always being seen. It's really pretty and even near a river and park. It's my favorite course in this area.

Ancil Hoffman is a challenging 18 hole course. snd the roaming deer, turkeys and coyotes bring an additional challenge. It has several beautiful nature walks and the Effie Yeau nature center. Wonderful place for picnics and dog walks.
