I love walkingup to see the pups as I have done for years. Having knowledgable volunteers creates an educational experience for all. I give the rookery an average due to the number of disturbances that occur during the season even though the beach is closed....More

Took four kids (11,7,5,6) and three adults (34,37,61) to the seal preserve today. We parked on the Bailard Ave exit off the 101. There is a trail parking lot that is free. The walk to the seal preserve is about a half mile from there....More

My daughter and I parked and walked down to the seal rookery. It was simply amazing to watch from above all the activity and natural behaviours of the seals. A perfect place for kids!

It was a much longer walk than we had anticipated. You could barely make out the seals from the rocks. This is however a unique experience.
