I've enjoyed may independent films at the Pageant. Unique films, animation and documentaries plus comfy seats/couches, tasty popcorn and ice cold beer make this theatre a Chico favorite.

The Pageant is "Chico Arthouse" - amazing selection of films that have limited release or exposure with the right amount of Chico vibe! From Independents to International and all that falls in-between - and without The Pageant - would fall out of view for all...More

This is the small-town equivalent of a big city "arthouse cinema". You can be sure that they show the best of this kind of movies which otherwise would never reach a town like Chico. The theatre itself remembers of the forties and fifties. The old...More

Old theater that shows movies you likely won't see in the "regular" theaters. Some art films and older stuff. I've seen a few really good movies in this place.

It isn't the biggest space you'll ever sit in and you can only buy tickets with cash. Even with that, you'll have an nostalgic experience that celebrates an intimate moving experience. One that includes optional front row sitting on a series of couches no less....More

We are lucky to have an independent theater Chico. It runs movies that don't show up in the big megaplex. It has a small business feel that I like. Ticket and popcorn prices are very reasonable.

LOVE this little place!! Classic small time theater that seats around 60-80 people. If you get there early enough, you can even grab a seat on one of the cozy couches up front. Current films of all genres plays here and if you are on...More

Chico's only independent movie house. The best in thoughtful, provocative, international and art films. Comfortable, relaxed, updated sound and screen. Bring your own beverage and dinner. Plush seats with a couch, too! Great movies with the bonus of Cheap-O Monday movie nights.
