One of the best places in the contra costa, the view is amazing and the sunset awesome. I normally go with friends, we like to go for picnic and is great for hiking.

Beautiful views of the area, couldn't have asked for a greater day to view during the week. $10 entry so pile up your vehicle and make it a day. Bring your family during the cooler months so you don't bake on the southern face.

It's always there but don't take it for granted. I grew up literally a couple hundred yards from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I loved the mountains and spent a good deal of time in them but without context probably took them a bit for granted. I swore upon spending too much time in places without mountains... More

After going with our Daughter to visit St. Mary's Collage, she asked to visit this park as a diversion from school. We are so happy we did. The park (and view) are beautiful, and felt far away from the civilization we were surrounded by. We drove (did not have time to hike it) but was well worth the trip.

Truly a clouds-eye view. PANORAMIC! Windy (both meanings) road up to the summit. Free if we HAD bicycled ($10 in a car). A must SEE!

Done the drive to the summit on a weekend versus the hike and it was great! Many historical markers to be found, especially at the summit explaining how significant this Mt. really played. Just be aware of the cyclists to share the road and probably more so on a weekend.

Having lived only a few hundred yards from the park, we feel like we are miles from civilization almost daily as we walk the trails. The waterfalls in the spring are fantastic, the hawksm falcons, eagles are magnificent, the air is crisp and clean, and would live no where else

This is a beautiful State Park about an hour outside San Francisco. The summit of Mount Diablo offers amazing views of the whole valley around it. Trails are well marked, with some more challenging than others.

This park is ideal for hiking, getting with the car of bicycle (some experience and a good bike is mandatory) to the top, and camping. Many stoves present for doing family BBQ. And of course the most amazing views from Sierra Nevada to the SF Bay and beyond. We loved the nature, and will definitely get back
