The sand I see perfect and the waves are great for body surfing and boogie boarding. A really great beach to relax and enjoy the sun. Parking is free if you can find a place on the side of the road somewhere but you may have to drive around for a while to find one.

This was the first time my kids and I have ever seen the ocean. This was a fantastic beach experience. The water seem very clean. There was plenty of beach to be had as we walked 150 yds from the road to get to the water. Beautiful place for pictures as it faces more south west, so if you stay... More

Coronado Beach is perhaps not as well known as the iconic San Diego beaches on the mainland, but it is larger, warmer, and has better parking than all the other strands in the area. Coronado beach has vast areas of sand for tanning, strolling, beach games, dog walking...whatever you want to do. Starting a couple blocks north of the Del,... More

With striking sunsets over the water, this is a perfect place to have a picnic or stroll on the beach as the sun starts to set. It drops quickly when the sun goes down so plan to bring a blanket or another layer of clothing. Tip: Don't forget a camera, the sunsets are striking!

The unexpected treat of my trip to San Diego. I love this beach and will revisit. Shout out to the Hotel del Coronado for letting us access the beach via their lovely hotel. Just don't walk too far down the beach and walk into the restricted military part of the beach like I did...Oops! :-)

It's just beautiful here. You'll experience the Pacific Ocean at its finest. The beach is expansive. They have nice bathrooms and showers. We didn't hear or get to see any Navy planes or helicopters overhead unfortunately.

Beach is beautiful! Can't go wrong here. Although I saw it as a plus, you should be aware that the Navy will be flying jets and helicopters non stop over the beach. It can get noisy, but I enjoyed seeing them fly overhead. My kids loved seeing them too!

What a great beach! You can tell the sand is brought in from elsewhere as it is powder fine. We were very happy to find a spot on the beach that was not overly crowded. I had read many reviews from people staying at the resort that wanted a private beach, an I'm so happy that this is open for... More

Very clean beach! Family friendly and not loud! If you're agenda is a beach day, this is perfect and parking was easy, too :)
