They just don't make them like they used to. This tiny theater has all the amenities you want in a modern theater (comfy seats, good picture quality, clean, etc.), but with all the glamour of the golden age of Hollywood. It's a classic masterpiece of a theater has been preserved perfectly.

This is a classy movie venue showing current films. There are 3 movie theaters, each beautifully remodeled with customer esthetics in mind. Comfortable seating, wide aisles [no more hitting knees when someone passes] with great lighting. Fresh popcorn is served with real butter upon request. If you need to get away from the heat of the shore, settling on a... More

We visited our son in the military for a long weekend. We stayed at the Hotel Del and walked down the street to find this charming little theater after a day at the beach. They have wide, roomy aisles and seats and great buttered popcorn. It's right in the center of town amidst fun restaurants and bars - perfect location

This is a small but completely restored movie theater. There are only 3 auditoriums but they show current blockbuster movies. Their website tells the full story of the history, renovation and grand re-opening of this classic theater. The mayor even selects a classic old movie to run every month. In January 2016, it's Some Like It Hot which was partially... More

We first went to the theater in the 1950s, and regularly until it closed. It was a treat to have it finally open again. And did they do a great job with it. We can't recall being in a theater that is as beautiful as the Village. Incredibly comfortable seating as well. And the films are first rate, including the... More

The Village Theater is an amazing venue. It has been renovated to Art Deco glory, and takes you back in time to the golden era of films. It is a small theater, so be sure to get there early!

Just letting you know they have done a great job restoring this theatre back to its former glory. In addition, it is very clean, well kept with up to date cinematography. There is also acres of space between the rows of seats. All in all.... Excellent!

We've now viewed a different movie here in each of the 3 areas of the theater. 2 small areas & one much larger. Viewing areas are very nicely decorated. Comfortable seating. As retirees staying at the now closed Bernardo Shores RV Resort, we always attend matinees. And we arrive early. Small theaters can get crowded quickly, but given that constraint,... More
