We had been to San Diego several times and returned with friends. We took them over to Coronado Island and walked around the historical Hotel del Cornado. We had lunch reservations on the island following but had about 30 minutes to spare. We drove to Centennial Park and just walked around and took in the views and serenity of this park.

At the bay end of Orange Avenue, this park provides public access to the bayside walkway between two large condo developments. There is an expansive grass area and benches to sit and watch sailboats, Navy SEAL boats and large ships pass by. Be aware that nearly any grass area in Coronado has had dogs doing their "daily" on it. Even though most people do pick up after their pets, maybe not the best place to have your youngster crawl around. There are several places to eat nearby and bay side shops as well. Nice place to stroll. There is pay parking in the nearest area, but plenty of free parking within a block or so.

Easily accessible from our hotel, this little park is the gateway to the ferry to San Diego, the Bayshore Bikeway (which is great for walking along as well). It was also a wonderful place to meet locals and learn about the area. It affords a great vista of the San Diego skyline, from the International Airport to the northeast, the USS Midway, the city proper, the Convention Centre, the Coronado Bridge, and towards the south and Mexico. Pleasantly, it was also a safe place to walk, even at night!

This is a wonderful place to walk around, enjoy the views, and just relax. Close to the ferry dock and lots of parking. Nice.

We've visited Centennial Park just to see the views of San Diego and had a quick lunch on the beach. It's a very clean, pleasant place to visit with nice people. You can rent a jet ski and get on a boat tour.

We were married in this little park five years ago so we're a bit biased. But it's a lovely spot for just looking across to the San Diego skyline. Good people watching, too.

The Centennial Park is just a stone’s throw from the Coronado Ferry Landing. It’s a very clean and well maintained park that is picturesque by itself and a vantage point to enjoy arguably the most breathtaking views of the San Diego downtown skyline just across the San Diego Bay day or night. Its a common place for weddings. Definitely worth a visit when in Coronado.

My toddler and I had an enjoyable afternoon walk at the Centennial park. There are some nice views of the San Diego skyline and nice wide walking paths conducive for strollers.
