Didn't go into the castle itself, but it's quite well preserved from the outside and the area around it together with the proximity to the lake make it a very pleasurable place for a walk. Accessible by UL bus as well.

This baroque castle has it all - a beautiful exterior as well as interior, nice surroundings and interesting exhibitions. Do not forget to have something to eat in the café/restaurant and also visit the beautiful church.

I arrived by trip boat from Sigtuna. Best way as gives great river view Take time to look around the different rooms as full of fascinating items. 3 cafes outside of castle and if a dry day, consider picnic. Also worth visiting adjacent church

We had a tour through this huge fascinating preserved piece of history. The grounds, buildings and contents were amazing. I suspect the mid 1600's people were fairly small. Amazing what old money could do!

A beautiful castle, the interiors are preserved, and the landscape around is practically untouched. Quite a big and interesting collection of weapons. There is a small car museum nearby.
