Алашехир в древности - Филадельфия (город братской любви).

Одна из 7-ми церквей Апокалипсиса, упоминается в Откровениях Святого Иоанна. 6-й век нашей эры. На сегодняшний день от неё остались только огромные столбы, по которым можно судить о размерах когда- то огромного собора. Турки огородили в центре города этот участок земли и бережно охраняют его, ожидая когда же христиане вспомнят о святыне.
