Unassuming little attraction with one of the most magnificent overlooks available. I also enjoyed the little signs that tell about the flora and geological origins of the area. Take a hooded sweatshirt - it will be cold and windy! And don't tell anyone about it...More

Because Thornton Beach State Park is only a 12-minute walk from where I was staying in Daly City, I wonder how many people who live in the area make it a daily habit to walk to the park after their work day and view the...More

The view, the fresh air, and the time spent with my kids, my niece, my sisters and my brother in law were well worth the 3 days it took me to recover from hiking down and back up from Thornton Beach!

Beach going, catch a wave or two if you've never been to the beach before! Collect seashells, wiggle your toes in the sand.

Clean and breezy morning. Love to walk here😉 though locals still access the site for hiking, horseback riding, and beach activities.

Nice sunset view but easily crowded during those times. Also have trails to go down to the beach (less people than ocean beach)

Very nice ocean view walk and nice once you get down to the beach. Just be aware that it's a climb & vigorous walk back.

It's small so less crowded, but still a nice way to see the ocean and the coastal line. The most amazing thing is the old trees on the hill, which are awesome backdrop for pictures. It is easy to find a parking spot too.
