Nice beach. Calm and not super crowded. Rocky in many areas with strong undertow. Surfers in certain areas- fun to watch and boogie board.

Of all the beaches we visited on our trip. This was our favorite. Good sand for sand castles. Waves break off shore, so not too big and scary for kids. Lots of surfers to watch.

How cool to walk from your house to Doheny beach! Well maintained and clean plenty of grass, picnic tables and clean facilities. A cafe and bike rentals. Just chill and watch the beach volley board Stroll the beach or people watch.

Nice and clean beach -lots of sand, volleyball courts, showers and concessions. Water is relatively clean; upon entering the water, lots of rocks/cobblestones at low tide-maybe check the tide charts ahead! Good surf when other places are too big, primarily in the summer!

This beach was within walking distance of our hotel. It is a nice family beach with lots of activities going on and picnics. The beach itself is pretty busy and its rocky with some drop-off's heading into the ocean.

This beach is nice and big, allowing people space without being on top of one another. Ample volleyball areas, lots of picnic tables, and an outdoor cafe are all available and clean. Bathrooms and a bicycle rental place are also there. I liked it better...More

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.
