This can be an incredible place for concerts and events but the beach quality is not as nice as other beaches in the area. First off, there is a creek (San Juan Creek) that dumps into the ocean just up the coast of the beach....More

California State Beach, so you will need a permit, but worth it. There is a metered parking lot for cars on the side, and accessible with a short walk. Come with family and friends for some sun or stay the day and swim play or...More

Get a state park pass if you visit frequently. At $15 a visit it can add up. There are huge parking lots with a short walk to the beach. Pretty much this is a high life guard beach. There's a large surfing family vibe. Most...More

A popular place to camp, holiday, surf. There is a really good campsite. I would not chose to visit this place again. It was pretty enough but very busy. There are beautiful views of the ocean at sunset. You can whale watch.

This is a typical west coast beach with moderate waves which is bringing a lot of surfers here. We had a good time relaxing and looking at the surfers taking on the waves. There are also many families on the beach which creates a good...More

This beach is surrounded by a rock jetty to prevent large waves so the waves are relatively small. There are picnic areas and shaded tree areas as well. Great place to picnic, BBQ and spend a day at the beach.

This is a really nice beach. Has great area for families. Near the harbor and fun to watch the boats come and go. Beach does have some areas where there are water hazards.
