Great beach informational center with very knowledgeable guide. The beach is very rocky. You can find some shells but not many. Little hermet crabs in the water before the harbor. Volleyball courts and bike rentals

We loved Doheny State Beach! We went on a walk, watched surfers, watch the waves crash, played volleyball, and watched the sunset. We also had a great picnic and saw some whales and dolphins in the distance. Great time!

It offers something for everyone. Great picnic areas, lots of grass areas to play games and a gentle beach. We've been coming here since our wedding in 1980 and it never gets old. There is room for every possible activity.

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.
