You do have to pay to park but it's super cheap and they take credit cards. As you walk to the beach you pass a huge grass hill area where you can picnic or hang out. Pavillion and playground area as well. Beautiful beaches!

Salt Creek Beach is a very scenic place to do what you want. Surf, walk, picnic, exercise, socialize or just chill and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Parking is close by for easy access. One of the most scenic spots along the Orange Coast.

Not a beach to learn to surf, has strong waves but quite a view! Has a good summer snack shack and decent bathrooms. Parking will be an issue after 8am.

We used to live near Salt Creek and our place enjoyed a trail that leads to this beach. We used to bike or run to the beach. The trail passes through the golf course and the monarch beach resort. You also go through multi-million dollar...More

We love to come to this beach when the weather gets warmer. We always make sure to arrive at the parking lot before 10 am to get a good spot. A little downhill walk on a paved path gets you to the park and beach...More

This is a small beach area, maybe a one mile walk back and forth and that is why we liked it. It was right next to the Ritz property, just beautiful. There were lots of surfers to watch and it was nice to walk barefoot...More

This beach is very popular with the surfers and surfer chicks. Which also brings the tourists. The Ritz Carlton overlooks this beach making it a nice place to have brunch.

You'll find this beach between South Laguna and San Juan Capistrano, just north of the Dana Point harbor area. Best parking is above adjacent to the headlands. This beach is frequented by locals and those who are hiking the headlands trail. Because it bumps up...More

Hi. When we were at the beach, there was a dad playing with his toddler son that my wife found entertaining and took several photos of him. So, yes to your question. Fairly large beach in terms of length, not overly deep... More

There is a pay to park parking lot at the top of the hill by the beach and a steep walk down. Or you can pay $1 each to take a golf cart shuttle ride down to the beach with your chairs and umbrella.

Salt creek and Huntington are both surfing beaches. If your kids are very small, I would suggest Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor. There are no waves there and the kids can be in the water all day.
