We stopped by the Raptor Center om the way to Sacramento and it was well worth the visit. The raptors are here because they were injured. If they cannot be safely released back into the wild, they remain in residence. We especially enjoyed seeing the...More

The place is worth a visit, especially if you have children. The idea of keeping these birds, at least some of them were rescued, for educational purposes is a good one. I would give it 5 stars if it's better kept (at least on appearance)...More

We went on a weekday and were the only people there. It is all outside so bring layers for cooler weather. Lots of birds of prey that can't be released in to the wild because of health issues. You can also bring injured birds of...More

The raptor center is quite an amazing experience, you can get up close to raptors of all types - mainly rescued animals there to recover before being released into the wild.

Came to this by accident. Small, but very informative about Raptors on site. Staff pleasant and got to see handlers with the raptors

We visited here when we were looking for something different to do around Davis. I love nature conservancies and rescues and love what the staff here is doing with education and rehabilitation.

We go when they have their open house. A selection of the raptors are with their handlers so you can see them close up. The docents answer all reasonable questions and are very knowledgeable about the hawks, owls, eagles on display. Bring your camera!

What a great group of people to help injured birds. They also provide a wonderful education to the general public. Take the time to exit the interstate and stop at this small facility. You can walk around on your own and see the birds, read...More
