Parts of the trail have recently been re-paved, which is very nice. This is a nice path to walk, run or even bike. There is not a lot of shade, though, so in the heat, it can be too much. Suggest going early on hot days.

Biking is best to cover more distance but a really good gradual slope hike all around. The path is full paved and not overly congested. Plenty of rest areas and places to break off into the different cities. Always someone running/walking/biking on it.

The only thing wrong with this trail is it is not in Arkansas. A nice long, level, trail with exits to coffee shops. I have biked and walked. Either way a most enjoyable way to suck in the perfect California weather and do your body a favor.

It runs near a creek in Dublin and one can often see wild life, turkeys, ducks, egrets. Great for bikes too. It is nice to walk and not have car traffic next to you. It is good for all skill levels.

While the trail goes on for miles and miles, I like the Danville section best because it's shaded with big pine trees.

It's a great idea. And that fact it's about to hook Livermore up to near the delta is incredible. And you'll see a lot along the way. Just remember: it's not a seamless trail. There are several lights along the way. Commuters don't always play nice either so watch your time of day.

The trail itself is nice and you can get a really long ride in if you want. On the down side there are many places that you have to stop to cross major intersections. If you ride this trail in the Summer it is better on cooler days because some parts of the trail are void of much shade.

This is a paved city trail lined with trees and vegetation. I believe it goes from Dublin to Walnut Creek. Never walked the whole thing. Love especially the Danville section. Very peaceful and picturesque. Many places to easily leave the trail to visit a downtown Danville coffee shop or restaurant and then resume your walk.

The Iron Horse Trail is a local gem. Great for individual, or families or a couples evening stroll. The trail stretches through lots of local communities and always has activity. The city of Dublin had planned improvments that will further improve the usability of the trail by creating dedicated parking and improvements to the trail that will not take away... More
