There is nowhere else like this in terms of peace and beauty. Walk around the gardens a bit, and then sit and think for a while, -- it will do you good.

We stopped at the Self-Realization Fellowship on a Monday and were told it was closed for maintenance on Mondays. This made sense to us...but we asked so many "out of towner" questions that the guard asked if we were, in fact, not from the area....More

These gardens have an incredible variety of flowers and trees, plus breathtaking views of the ocean. Whether you visit for its beauty, to meditate or to see the koi ponds, you won't be disappointed.

The meditation gardens are just a beautiful and relaxing way to get away from the busy world. Parking is a bit tricky to find (we got lucky with a spot on the street) and the hours aren't always convenient but the effort is worth it....More

This is a wonderful place to sit and take a moment to breath. The beautiful plants, coy ponds and the seating areas encourages you to just relax and take some time to just be. Such a beautiful place!

There is no charge to visit the gardens. As for the best time of year, I have been there in October as well as January and February. Each time I have visited, there have been flowers in bloom. Much care goes into maintaining... More
