My wife and I had a good time at the Safari Park. There is an easy to follow path to see all of the animals, but be prepared to walk and there are some large open areas between animals. We went on the Caravan Safari...More
The San Diego Safari Park exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful park that is extremely well decorated and well-kept. The enclosures are huge and stunning, giving the animals large areas to roam. There are also a number of enclosures that you can actually enter...More
This a very nice zoo — most exhibits appear large and are made to resemble the animals’ natural habitats. The African Plains area (the one that the Africa Tram goes around) is especially impressive; dozens of herds of different species of animals live together as...More

When are you going? If you are going in the summer you want to do the first one in the morning....animals seek shelter/shade as the temperatures rise, and they are more active in the morning....twilight is nice if you are going in the fall. I was at the safari park last week when the temperature approached 100 in the afternoon....we were only there for a couple of hours because most of the animals were already looking for shaded areas.
