Had business in Escondido and got in a quick hike here. Was easy to access and trails are great. Opens at 8:00am. Got there at that time on a weekday and hardly ran into other people hiking.

Go there and start exploring! Hike the “Way Up” trail and keep on exploring. There’s an interpretative center that will educate and delight!

During the fall winter and spring . A great place for a hike or picnicking. a small stream winds its way along the canyon. Make sure you watch out for snakes, it is a wilderness area.
