College Cove is a small but beautiful beach just north of Trinidad State Beach. Although you can see it from the easily accessed state beach, it's really only accessible by the sure-footed and heart-healthy due to the fact that you have to climb down and then back up some pretty steep stairs. It's worth the effort! After driving north on... More

Great place to visit for ocean time and forest sights and smells. Always something new with these beaches with the changing tides especially after winter.

This is a great beach to go to during the weekday...it is empty and secluded...perhaps one or two other people there (weekends it is NOT secluded). There is a short hike to get there and some steps to take to get down to the beach, but the beach is worth it...very beautiful. Check the tide tables, there is walking along... More

You can park and go hike to the ocean but..you need to be aware that thieves are waiting for you to go so they can get into your vehicle and pillage all your stuff.

Very private and out of the wind. Some nude sunbathers...a plus depending on your personal sensitivity. Gorgeous stop with photo ops. Nice quiet walk to this cove from the road.

This is a hidden spot with Forrest on one side and the ocean on the other side. It is a little climb down but so worth it. There is tide pools at low tide and a gorgeous beach!

This beach is located in Trinidad. Extremely beautiful. Certainly a spot for some great photos if you like to take pictures. There are a few trails. One does lead down to the beach. The others can lead around the headlands and lead to some great views. As others have mentioned, the path leading down to the beach is somewhat treacherous... More

I really think this place is gorgeous. It's off the beaten path a little bit, considering how accessible Moonstone and Samoa Beaches are. There is a hiking trail that leads you in, and a staircase slightly hidden among the brush that takes you down to the beach. Word to the wise, pack light and bring a back pack! Lugging everything... The most gorgeous walk you'll ever take. U can go see the blow hole 4 a short walk or explore the beach into inland mountains.

College Cove is a classic Humboldt walk, one we never miss when we are at the coast. When you reach the ocean, be sure to look for the seas lions below -- we saw dozens on our most recent visit. You might also see surfers off of Trinidad Beach, to the left of the trail on your way out to... More
