This was a nice park to walk around and read about the logging history. The Fort was pretty scarce and none of the buildings were open. We had a good time and it was a nice day to walk around and read about the logging...More

It is not way up on the list a great state parks but I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about local history. It is a great place to learn more about the history of the local logging industry.

We traveled through the park in June. While driving through, we encountered a huge herd of elk. They didn't care that I was 10 feet away snapping photos of their grazing. Cool!

Historical site worth stopping to see. It's free. The most informative items were the signs throughout the fort that you could read. There are 2 original buildings on the site and you can go in some days, but not really much to see in there....More

Fort Humboldt is an historical attraction. It sits on the bluff above Humboldt Bay. Ulyssis S. Grant was stationed there before becoming President. There is a museum.

With younger children it is sometimes difficult to find places where there is enough room to run a little. This is one place to accommodate all ages and learn some history at the same time.

This is a very nice historical site. The park has some very good historical information available, along with some good displays! Parking is good. Dress for some cool breezes because this site in on a bluff and gets some wind.

This is a small state park right off the 101. It is a good place to stretch your legs and walk around a bit. The historical buildings are open during the day and there is a display of old logging equipment and a visitors center....More
