The bay encompasses quite a large area. I’ll concentrate on the Eureka waterfront which has a boardwalk opposite a marina with many fishing boats, plenty of free parking, and lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

There are numerous opportunities to enjoy the Bay. And, a new walking path has been developed along the bay which is breathtakingly beautiful. Bring a camera. The water is wonderful the bird life is great and the new path that has been created is terrific

We toured the bay on the Madaket ship. We saw a large variety of birds. The industries include fishing and lumber. We went past 2 different marinas. The weather seems to be cold much of the time so be prepared.

I love the ocean, and the views from Humboldt Bay, with its rocky outcrops is amazing. The formations in the Bay only increase the beauty of the experience.

It is hard to believe this bay was used for years for for industrial use. It is now clean and full of wildlife to see. Great photo opportunities. If you like to kayak it is peaceful and was not too crowded. Mostly easy parking.
