The recent visit to this local Museum surprised our group of friends. The rock & gem displays were excellent. Lots of interesting things to learn about what's under foot in our region. Volunteers were friendly and quite knowledgeable.

The Gem and Mineral Museum has so much to offer anyone that is interested in Gems and Minerals. They have gems from all over the world and provide a good description of all the items so one can understand the historical values.

Not only is the exhibit a gift, we were entertained with a chat with both the curator, an experienced miner, and the docent. Well worth the stop
