We reserved a picnic area for a group of 80 and had a fabulous experience. Easy to get to, picnic site clean, and grills and tables in great shape. Close to lake for breezes and views. Would highly recommend it.

We go here so frequently we bought a pass. This makes our cost to use this area as well as other State parks very reasonable. We like to watch the sunset over the lake. There is ample opportunity for a variety of water sports including...More

Good place to hang out with family or solo. Lots of activities to do like hiking, swimming, barbecue, walking, running, biking. There are lot of picnic areas to grill. Just beware that there’s $12 day parking fee otherwise worth to spend a day with family!!

Great place to come hang out with family. I just hate the number of dogs runnin around and jumping in the water. Not fond of swimming with Fido.

I prefer Folsom Lake in the Winter - it is so fun to walk out on the lake bed - amazing landscape to explore. Water is clearer in winter than in the summer which is great for the dog but the lower water levels make...More

There is camping at Beals Point, however I am unaware about the Penninsula. Be advised that Folsom Lake has been at record lows.
