We took our 6 year old explorer for his first tide pool adventure and he (and we) loved it. Unlimited rocks to climb, tiny coves to explore and with a little patients and persistence you can find dozens of different sea creatures. If you are nearby, you should definitely make the trip.

Beautiful place to take a walk or ride a bike, just north of Glass Beach, much smaller crowd, a family environment.

A must go if you are in the area. There is a beautiful board walk along the coast with cypress trees and awesome ocean view.

Visiting this state park was a fun way to spend some time outdoors even in the cooler weather. I quite enjoyed the different views of the ocean and cliffs depending on where the path led you. I highly recommend MacKerricher State Park for its beautiful views!!

We parked here and walked the haul road toward Fort Bragg to the end of the trail. Went to Glass beach...Took pictures but no glass...as others were doing. You can also walk north a few miles along the haul road trail. We drove around the open campgrounds and looked ok. Having not stayed there...cannot rate that. But, there are good... More

Beautiful beach, picnic tables and a great boardwalk out to viewing areas. We saw multiple whales spouting and enjoyed the coastal views!

You won't be able to get under this boardwalk, but you won't want to. This is a good walking spot and at the end of the trail is an observation deck on which you can see and hear the sea lions and harbor seals sunning themselves on the rocks and/or swimming in groups.

I love this place so much! It's got so much going on. Wave watching, walking around on the cliffs below, access to the beach, wooden boardwalk that take you to outlooks and have informational stops to education on what to look for. Tide pools, etc. During the first visit here on the furthest outlook, I sat and watched the waves... More

Wonderful coast access - beach - tide pooling - seal watching - bird watching. Also areas to camp and for RV's. Sand dunes - walking area around a pond. Just one of our easy access best coastal ocean visits.
