I saw pictures on FB and read a lot of reviews before heading to Glass Beach from NH. I wasn’t sure what I would find, but I was amazed! There was glass everywhere! We didn’t go to Mackerricher State Park where the Glass Beach is...More

Too many photos are on the web showing sea glass on this beach. But it's simply not true. In fact, most areas of Glass Beach have been made inaccessible by the parks service with fences up. If you park and walk to the main area,...More

The glass is there but very small because I imagine it has been picked over. Still a fun place. Tough for handicapped people.

Not a bunch there as in old pics...gotta dig a bit. The glass is there as a result of a former glass factory dumping its breakage and tailings there for years. Was never a garbage dump in that trash was dumped.

A bit weird that a garbage dump is a tourist spot. Lots of garbage dumped there. Unfortunately most people were picking the glass up to take it out even when it says not to.

We stopped here to see what the fuss was about and ended up staying almost two hours - my kids loved looking for the different colors of glass. The Internet says that the glass came from when a lot of trash was pushed into the...More

Great fun to find bits of cool glass but make sure you don’t take any as all the big bits have sadly been removed so it’s becoming less attractive. I really wanted to take this bit as it was a rare one with numbers on...More

I wasn't sure what I was looking for when they said Glass beach. The glass are colored or clear rocks. Doesn't exactly look like glass. The beach that is accessible is a small area. It's a nice walk on the trail.

Went with grand children. The girls had a great time exploring and searching for glass. We had a game looking for different colors, largest piece, some interesting seaweed/kelp. If you stop at the museum you can buy a bag of glass pieces to toss into...More

No.. Don't surf there. A little North of Glass Beach is Pudding Creek Beach, some surf there, or further Virgin Creek Beach, or drive to Cleon and go to Mac.. I can't spell it.. or go south to Noyo Harbor, or Casper Beach.
