Best time to trek is when it is green. Whole bay area can be seen from the top. Trek elevates smoothly. Good alternative for a gym membership.

Takes a total of 3 hours, worth the view. Take plenty of water. Take to to enjoy the view. There are two different paths. Choose wisely

We have hiked to the top of Mission Peak. One is rewarded with views of the valley area. There is some steep walking at times so be prepared for that. Parking lot is on the smaller size so its good to get there early on a sunny week-end day.

This is nice hike in fremont area, slope is not bad covers about 6miles of distance. Nice to hike in moderately cool temperatures as it may get hot in the way.

1st time for hubby & I. Our daughter had done it during rainy season. Do not recommend then. They were deep into mud & didn't finish. Not a good choice. Saturday afternoon, 1:30 (got a late start),warm, mid 80's, and very little shade. Came in through Ohlone College entrance and parked on the street. We are in pretty good shape... More

Love to go to Mission Peak for regular exercise as it gives you 6 miles round trip and 2,500 Elevation hike. The Ohlone College entrance provides better parking lots which is really helpful if you have a big group. Bring waters, sun protections and get there early or later in Summer as it could be really hot. Best time to... More
