Great place for a choral concert at Christmas time

Old mission, wood pews and all. Went to see a choral group for a Christmas concert. Sat about midway in the church and the accoustics were great. I'd go again for a similar... read more

The site was very small without too much to see. Its story wasn't told in an interesting/engaging way by its exhibits. It is not worth for its ticket price.

The displays and exhibits are very interesting and informative and give a good overview of what life in a Spanish mission would have been like. My one reservation is that the museum's displays assume that mission life was an improvement over their historical lifestyle for the indigenous populations; that improvement is not a clearcut fact and in fact might be... Mission San Jose, located in the Mission San Jose District of Fremont, offers a great history of the Ohlone Indians and the Spanish who settled this area. The original mission was destroyed by a Hayward Fault earthquake and what stands now is a rebuilt replica of the old mission. The Mission is open daily from 10-5 with an adult entrance... More

My husband and I visited this old Church a few years ago, and you would see how beautiful the Church is. Its very solemn even if they already turned the said Church into a museum.

The sanctuary is beautiful, the history is very interesting, especially for anyone not that familiar with California history.

We've been to the Mission many times. Our son and his wife were married in the Old Mission Church back in 1998. It was a beautiful event. There have been many weddings performed there. The rest of the grounds are simple and nice. They have a gift shop as well. It's well worth the visit.

Went there with a school field trip, the guide was very knowledgeable about the history. I learned a lot about the mission and history in Fremont.

Visited San Jose mission on a family mission trip. Spent about 30 minutes on the property and there was a modest cost to attend. The mission is beautiful and rather large, the property does not have much to walk around and do. It was a nice mission currently functioning as an active parish. Would recommend.

I had the pleasure of attending a special event where an Ohlone Indian talked about life during the early days of this Mission. He is an active member of the church, and retold stories passed down from his family and tribe members. All quite interesting!
