Very interesting, a sparse, but informative museum

The sanctuary is beautiful, the history is very interesting, especially for anyone not that familiar with California history.

My husband and I visited this old Church a few years ago, and you would see how beautiful the Church is. Its very solemn even if they already turned the said Church into a museum.

We've been to the Mission many times. Our son and his wife were married in the Old Mission Church back in 1998. It was a beautiful event. There have been many weddings performed there. The rest of the grounds are simple and nice. They have a gift shop as well. It's well worth the visit.

Went there with a school field trip, the guide was very knowledgeable about the history. I learned a lot about the mission and history in Fremont.

Visited San Jose mission on a family mission trip. Spent about 30 minutes on the property and there was a modest cost to attend. The mission is beautiful and rather large, the property does not have much to walk around and do. It was a nice mission currently functioning as an active parish. Would recommend.

I had the pleasure of attending a special event where an Ohlone Indian talked about life during the early days of this Mission. He is an active member of the church, and retold stories passed down from his family and tribe members. All quite interesting!

Nothing remains of the original mission church. However the now standing church is a close reproduction of the original 1809 structure. The Museum is located in the restored buildings and con tail many artifacts and relics.

Went to the sisters olive oil fest that I so enjoy annually. Did the history museum tour and walked thru the church then the grave yard, left me wanting more. I wanted to talk to the sisters see how they lived n a tour of their making Olive oil. I live just up the street from the Mission, such a... More

This is one of my favorite of the 21 California Missions. I give it only a 3 though as it is not one of the most beautiful nor does it have a great view. However it is,a lovely, simple mission with great revolving displays of Ohlone Indian life, interesting history exhibits and a working church. Fremont is easy to get... More

What a gem to have a daily (M-F) 8AM Mass in this historic church founded by Juniper Serra. Monsignor Simas gives excellent homilies and a different school class attends each Friday.
