We held our wedding and reception at the Meux Home in mid April, 2017 and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. The staff, lead by Dawn, was extremely professional and accommodating. From the first phone call to the end of the event, the Meux Home and staff were wonderful. The grounds were immaculate, the buildings were clean... More

The meux home is a place frozen in time. The fascinating story of the family takes the visitor into a time when Fresno was a small town living in the wild west. I took several business people for a tour and they loved it! Good for all ages and families...a must!

My gosh---whoever does the tree decorations at this place is very talented! They put a themed Christmas Tree in every room. I recommend that you go there fairly early in the Chirstmas season and get ideas! All of the trees were just awesome. They even had a small tree in a bathroom! Of course, the Dining Room, the Parlor, Entry... More

Two lovely docents gave us an enjoyable tour of this beauty of a home. They were very knowledgeable about the Meux family, photos, and the customs and typical items used by a family in the mid to late 1800s into the turn of the century. Good way for girlfriends to duck in out of the rain and enjoy about an... More

This is Dr. Meux personal residence and office from the early days of Fresno. It has many period furnishings and utensils that were from that era. The best time is during special events like Christmas where it has original decorations. It is quite an amazing treasure that is often missed. Be sure to see it.

Interesting to hear * learn about the home and the family that originally lived in this home. In some ways quite ahead of it's time & sometimes was of the late 1800's & early 1900's. Worth the time to see & enjoy.

Went to visit the house as a chaperone for a school field trip. Nice to see the historical building along with how they lived back then. Original household items are still in the house, for example, the wallpaper is still original and they ask you to keep your hands off to preserve it. A trip back to historical times.

The restoration was excellent and the tour was very informative. We loved learning about the Meux family and seeing how the family lived and functioned in the 1800s. This is one of the highlights of Fresno and it is too bad more historic houses weren't saved in Fresno. The Fresno downtown needs more places like this.
