This park is very big and if it is not an holiday, you can find a nice shady, secluded spot. Very well kept and clean restrooms. The small fee is worth at least a few hours of quet and solitude if you are so inclined.

Really enjoyed our time here, its a great place to get zen and clear your head. I have a bad knee and some hikes can eat me up, but this was really smooth.

The Japanese Garden is fairly romantic but only open limited hours. There is is a dog park. If you both own dogs might be a good ice breaker. If she likes to hike or bike it has trails.
