Worth the drive to walk in wetlands and see lots of flora and fauna, excellent volunteers to help guide you. Bring some food to enjoy on the picnic tables.

California used to have more wetlands but they've been converted into agricultural lands and this is one of very few areas where you can see how it used to be. Actually, this preserve is heavily managed, so it's a more a man made wetland rather...More

Large park with walking trails and bird-viewing-from-car, when I visited early string I found many meadowlarks, swallows and the expected ducks. Nice stop close to the highway.

What a great trip here.I think we say a lil over 80 species of birds. We did the 6:45 tour with a biologist which was a lot of fun! hiked about 5 miles.

We like coming here for the scenic trails and the quiet. There's miles of trails to go explore. Also there is a small dock for kayak access to the river. All in all good to visit for a relaxing day.

It is a nice forested collection of trails to walk along, a total of a few miles. The far loop is a must, and remember to check on the leaflet for numbers as you go along - you can learn even more about the park.
