Martin Ranch Winery is a family-owned & operated winery and vineyard located just outside Gilroy and Morgan Hill. For over 20 years winemakers Dan and Therese Martin have been crafting exquisite award winning wines which have accumulated international accolades.

The winery itself is located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Whether your find yourself taking in sweeping views of the pond and hillside, strolling past Therese's organic garden, or on one of Dan's barrel room tours you are sure to enjoy your time at Martin Ranch Winery. We are open for tasting the first and third Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month 12-5, and for general inquiries Monday through Thursday 9-3.

"Our love of life, sharing great wines and food with family and friends, are what make the Martin Ranch Winery so special." -Therese Martin

Spent an amazing Saturday afternoon tasting great wines (Bonnie was super nice and knowledgeable) and relaxing by the pond while the kids were playing on the playground structure. Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot were our favorites, thankful that our friends (members) introduced us to Martin Ranch Winery (we were guests).

This is a very friendly winery with great wines and a beautiful view. Lots of nice shaded picnic areas - if you don't bring food you will be jealous of the incredible spreads people bring! We have been members for years. If you are from outside the area, this place is not to be missed. Yes, it is off the... More

Nice location and winery with beautiful grounds and a nice pond. They had some nice wines and one of the few in the area with a Riesling (my wife's favorite).

Life may not always be a bed of roses, but it certainly can be at Martin Ranch Winery, where Dan and Therese Martin have created a welcoming oasis in their secluded vineyard, complete with magnificent roses. Umbrella lined decks overlook huge raised garden beds and vines, while a shaded wooden dock with picnic tables beckons you to enjoy a glass... More

I found this winery through Trip Advisor. We met another couple that was driving up from the south, and we were coming from the north. It is a bit off the main road, but we didn't have any problem finding it. Martin Ranch is well suited for people of all ages---they have a play yard for the children, and it... More

We first visited Martin Ranch Winery seven or eight years ago while camping at Mt Madonna a few miles away. For some very strange reason, we didn't join the wine club for a year or so, but we have been happy to be in the 'family' a long time now. We have visited wineries all over California, from the big... More

The drive to the winery is a little tricky but if you persist, you'll come to the Martin Ranch Winery at the southeastern tip of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Northern California has some of the best wineries without all the traffic or crowds that you might experience in Napa or the Sonoma wine country. This hill country is so scenic... More

I've been a few times. Joined the wine club last year, reds only. The wines are always hearty and well-balanced. They are open to the public on the third weekend of every month. Sometimes there is live music. There's aways fun people, lots to taste, and picnicking. The taasting room staff is virtually all volunteers. If heat bothers you, don't... More

Hi John, Thanks for posting your review. I'd love to invite you back to Martin Ranch Winery as we've undergone an extensive remodeling project to accommodate our guests in comfort year round. All of our comfy couches and picnic tables are located under shade and on that occasional super hot day, we have misters. A new tasting area has been... More
