This garden specializes in asian plants and trees. It was built more or less on the side of a hill on the site of an old quarry, and is right next to vineyards. A very pleasant place for a stroll, even if you aren't a...More

I did not have a great experience at the Quarryhill Botanical Garden. While we were there, there was a bus load of people who arrived and were escorted around the gardens in a couple of electric carts. The tour guide was so loud talking about...More

We came here to see large examples of the Acer pentapyllum maple that is nearly extinct or even completely eradicated in Szechuan China by the long history of inadequate protection by the government, and the horrible poverty of the poor rural Chinese who live near...More

The terrible fire storm missed this gem. This is an absolutely fantastic collection of all sorts of Asian plants. Some of the flora I was familiar with & many I had never seen. For anyone that is a plant enthusiast this is a must.

Not since visiting Dan Hinkley's gardens outside Kingston WA (subsequently acquired by Burpee and then the local S'Klallam tribe) have I seen such a wonderful collection of Asian plantings. This former quarry site is staffed with very knowledgeable docents who drive guests in carts to...More

Gorgeous garden. Very peaceful. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and sunscreen, as the trails are rocky and it can get very hot in the sun.
