Description:

We are a small family owned winery located in the heart of the Sonoma...

We are a small family owned winery located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. We believe that single vineyard wines make for the most interesting and satisifying drinking! Since the early 1990's we've constantly looked for those vineyards that provide a great match between terroir and varietal. The result is an array of small batch, single-vineyard wines that meet our criteria. Whether the vineyard is in Sonoma or Napa, or our own estate, our pledge to you is that we will produce a collection of wines that are always interesting, always compelling and always delicious. Making over 20 varitals of wine there is always something you can find that fits your taste here at Mayo!

My wife and I stopped into this fun winery on a rainy Friday evening and were treated to a great night. The wine hosts were pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were very good and we struggled to determine which ones to purchase. A great find off the main road.

On a recent trip through Napa and Sonoma wine country, we tried to avoid the big commercial wineries and focus on finding small wineries with exquisite offerings. Mayo is right up there at the top of the list. Very friendly staff, nice location and some great wines.

A boutique winery in Sonoma, our tour guide was a retired schoolteacher but very funny. We laughed and learned a lot. The Zinfandel and the Pinot were excellent. If you're doing a wine tour in Sonoma don't miss this one.

We went to the winery at Glen Ellen, so I do not know if the Reserve Room has different wines or not. The wines were not to our taste and they served a few one the tasting from another winery, just because.... Staff was very friendly but not as knowledgeable as some of the other wineries we visited

I am embarrassed to say how we stumbled upon this family winery. There were no bathrooms in sight so we pulled in out of necessity. Next thing I know they were staying open late for us so we could do a tasting. Their wines are really good and they are so personable. So glad we just had to stop...don't miss... More

We visited Mayo with another couple. We hired a driver to take us to four wineries that day for tastings, and our experience at Mayo was the most fun! Samuel was so knowledgeable and entertaining, and he gave healthy pours! Haha! The wine was very good too - there wasn't a single one we didn't like. Great experience.

This was our very first visit to the Winery and I would say every time spent here was well worth. We visited this small family owned Winery with Extronomical tours and we were well welcomed with a chardonnay wine followed by explaining the step by step process from harvesting to color of the wine. Loved the Pinot Noir!! Overall well... More

Really, who talks about their wines like this? Mayo does. Too many blends that it takes its not special.
