I am a local and I have come here for many years. I always love coming to see the butterflies in this beautiful eucalyptus grove that smells so fresh. It's always possible to continue the adventure and walk out the bluffs to the beach, not...More

Have wanted to visit here for years. Today was the day. I had read on their website that many of the eucalyptus trees were dying and had fallen down. They had posted Trail Closed signs in much of the area, but their commentary indicated that...More

The many trails that adorn the coastline and beyond are a delight for all who wish to spot red-tail hawks, owls at night or the few butterflies who grace our coast. The bluffs, as affectionately, named by the locals is a treat as you can...More

We went there as part of an open house by the Land Trust, and although it wasn't butterfly season, we saw many. We were encouraged by the work of the Trust and others at preserving and growing our butterfly population. There are many trails on...More

We missed the 1000's of butterflies by 2 days... but the hundreds that remained made it exciting just the same! The walk is about 3.5 miles round trip depending where you entered the wilderness area from... Be sure to walk beyond the butterfly nesting area,...More
