Good ride and views in Yosemit while we were traveling along. Enjoyed the pines and views in the distance.

Do drive this road entirely. The portion of the road into Yosemite Valley is a wonder, true, but the portion of the road all the way down, beyond the town of Priest, was also spectacular.

The road between Buck Meadows and YNP is being repaved, and the road is down to one lane. We had to wait 15-20 each time we drove through that section.

Should give it a visit, a Catholic Church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel with traditional Cemetery in front to see the history of original families in this town. A small cemetery on another site with no markers where Chinese of the Gold Rush era were buried, Found this during a Pokemon search.

This road into Yosemite has impressive views, and impressive twists and turns. There are convenient overview spots, but parking is limited and no notice that they are coming up

Beautiful drive to Yosemite Valley on a weekday. Do not recommend weekend trip no parking and slow traffic. Plan on two hours to Yosemite Village on weekend if you do not make any stops along the way. Plenty of places to pull off and take photos along the way. Well maintained road with beautiful scenery and views.

Kind of hot drive as you drop through a canyon down to the Yosemite Valley. As you come down, get ready for some wonderful views and waterfalls. After the long tunnel, get ready to pull over for some great pictures. Also watch for people crossing the road as you leave the darkened tunnel, letting your eyes adjust.

El Portal on route 140 is closer to the Yosemite Valley as the motel rates will demonstrate. Rush Creek in the next closest on this route 120 road entrance, but much farther that anything in El Portal.
