This museum has a lot of historical value for the park area. We loved the art, and all the history of the gold rush era is very interesting. The price is right, free, but a small donation is appreciated. Good and interesting history lesson.

Loved it. There's a series of display cases well presented, and the ability to examine things up close.

I was hesitant on taking my young kids to a museum, but the staff was very friendly and the kids were able to touch may of the exhibits. There is also a park next door!

They are open on weekends, but it would be worth a quick call or check of the website to confirm about Labor Day weekend and hours. Donations are accepted, but there is no fee. Wonderful little museum to visit!
