A place to bring your dog for play and exercise while walking the beach type area. Playing, walking or just relaxing this is the place to do it. Sail, boating or just watching it's breath taking. Enjoy your day.

Great place to stay in the area if you camp. The location is tops. The facilities are state beach type facilities. They have rangers and everything. No Bears! There is a lot of coastal trail traffic. Use the picnic tables for lunch!

We initially experienced this beach as part of a trail ride from a nearby riding stable. We returned to the beach afterward because it was an amazing, scenic edge-of-the-world kind of place. The dunes rose 25 feet above the beach, giving an isolated quality to...More

Horse rentals close by. Nice flat beach for walking. Easy access from highway to park. Large beach area for relaxing /picnic.

Great little beach, visit here multiple times. Very calm and not so populated, so makes a great getaway and the town is cool to visit and walk around also.

We've been to different HMB beaches but would not recommend this one as first choice. Parking is always full (on the weekends), picnic areas are full and dirty and the access to the beach is steep and difficult (for some). I prefer Venice Beach.

Called in on the spur of the moment. So glad we did as we saw whales in the sea!! What an experience. Stayed for about an hour watching them

It is worth stopping by just to see the massive expanse of open water out there. The bay was rather foggy when we visited but still an amazing sight to behold.

I stayed at the Half Moon Bay campground about a mile south of the center of town. At that point the sandy beach is about a hundred feet below a bluff. Going north there is a trail along the bluff for a half mile or so. Then... More
