Good spot for Picnicking and fishing. Mild to warm weather, but you can find something agreeable. Most families love it because it is near one or two bait shops and lots of fast foods and grocery stores. Horses are also nearby.

Historical barn and tour. Heirloom apple grove. Must come and pick and buy apples at the festival. Great picnic areas for large groups. Hiking, fishing. Beautiful views from the hike to the top.

Garin is close by, and parking within 10 yards of picnic spot. There is good tree shade, a little creek for kids to run up and down and some interesting old farm buildings. One can also walk up main hill.

Garin park is unbelievably beautiful. Due to the recent rains, the hills are green dotted with occasional cows grazing. The view of Hayward and the bay are stunning. What a gem right within the city. Get out there ad you will not be disappointed.

Parking is $5. A good place to go hiking with dogs. Many people are BBQ there. Many benches and trees are at the park. There is a nice peaceful lake at the park.

Great park offering picnic tables, bbq grills and bathrooms! $5 parking fee in summer. Walking trails with great view if you choose to go upward. Good family choice....bring your own Frisbees, badminton etc...there are no playground areas.
