Rivers edge crew was phenomenal! very welcoming, ahead of schedule, and offered ice cream of your choice after the trip. ONLY DOWNSIDE was that the river water was VERY low and majority of the trip was spent outside the kayak and on a hike pulling it through the whole course. It was enjoyable to say the least. Would go back...if... More

We have taken other float trips on the lower Russian river, our friends in Healdsburg suggested Rivers Edge. From the start booking on-line to launching and returning to our cars we had exceptional customer service. The water was clear and flowing smoothly for Sept. The staff was super chill and friendly. We traveled from Santa Rosa up the 101 short... More

I am a local and wanted to bring my friend on the full day trip.Lolly, the owner, said that they were fully booked for the day we wanted to go, but took extra time and effort to open a space for us to do the full day Alex trip. Both she and the staff were absolutely awesome, and we had... More

I have been kayaking on the Russian River several times before but with different outfitters. This by far, was the best!!! All of my future trips will be with River's Edge. Staff was terrific, friendly and organized. Best thing was that they spread out the departures on the river so it never got crazy too many boats or people. They... More

We saw so much wildlife canoeing with River's Edge, from turtles to white egrets, deer, and fish. This portion of the river was beautiful and there were a few fun spots to learn to navigate the canoe and how to best paddle, which was an adventure! The staff was also very nice. Another perfect, low key, serene, quiet day in... More

We reserved the "Rio" half day trip on a Saturday in August. Everyone at River's Edge, from checking-in to wrapping up at the end of the day were very helpful and friendly! Would DEFINITELY recommend! Canoes are more stable than kayaks. Both are fun, but if you're not a great swimmer, choose a canoe because it's harder to tip over.... More

River's Edge company did a good job -- driving the customers about 16 miles north of town, providing good equipment, a thorough briefing before getting on the river. This trip is not for young children and only experienced, "self-rescuing" paddlers should attempt it. There are several rapids areas and chutes where even the experienced quickly flipped, so it can be... More

We have little experience in canoeing. I've canoed on about three streams in the Ozarks of Missiouri which were also Level I and II. My wife had never been in a canoe. We choose the shorter trip, the 5 mile trip that last from 2-3 hours. We wore our life vests even though the water was tame and shallow. Its... More

Well, they have picked a beautiful location - right on the Russian river. Kayaks and canoes available. They take you up river 5 or 10 miles depending on the tour you pick and you float or paddle down. Kayaks were very nice and comfortable - we used a sit on top tandem. Staff were humorous and helpful! Molly gave us... More

We took the Rio self-guided trip in a kayak because 2.5-3.0 hours worked into our schedule better than the longer Alex trip. It was still early in the summer, so the water level and flow were good – a very easy paddle (much of it just floating with the current) along a nice stretch of the Russian River. There are... More
