This is definitely worth visiting... When I'm in town, I like to take my aunt here. The views are amazing and it's a nice place to relax.

I have never experienced such a bad group of people in a camping area. The lake is good and fishing poor but overall it is a nice place. Unfortunately they don't handle the bad people camping there.

I've been fishing this lake for several years and go at least once a month year round. Fishing has always been good for Stripers, Largemouth Bass, Catfish and Rainbow Trout. The Lake is stocked regularly by the DFG during winter/spring. Many times I rent a boat at their dock and the prices are very reasonable. The lake also has a... More

We just came here for the scenery and it was ok. I'm slowly adjusting my CA expectations compared to Midwest lakes. This is the highest altitude reservoir in CA so the temperature is quite nice. The beach area is bigger than other lakes within a short drive.

My husband took our family here after a small vacation from Las Vegas to Laguna Beach. This place looks like a great place to spend the day, or even camp. Clean water and facilities. The beach is great for smaller children, my daughter loved it. I recommend if your in the area and if you have younger kids.

Silverwood is a great day trip. you can camp there also. Going for the day is very relaxing. Not much lawns but a lot of trees and trails. there is a camp store and snack bar for convenience.take a couple lawn chairs and enjoy the day....after they clear up the lake!(08/2016 has some bacteria problem)

Algae bloom right now nasty water... way to much trash around the lake as people think they can trash this lake like it is their home...low life pigs should not camp here ... or spend the day either...take it in take it out....

We invited a bunch of friends with children for a day of boating/tubing. This lake was awesome. We usually go to Lake Perris but the last few trips there have been horrible, the park rangers were grumpy and downright rude. That is not the case at Silverwood Lake! Every ranger and employee we encountered was pleasant, helpful and friendly! What... More

Tried this lake out for the day an was ok. A really small beach area. But a really big lake. There should be more Lake area dedicated to swimming. Camp grounds are over grown with vegetation. U have to explore the grounds completely inside and out to really find the spot that suits u. It's worth driving around the entire... More
