Perfect getaway Park
Apr. 2021
This huge park is home to six monster-sized Troll figures, which are a delight for both kids and adults. Easy to reach, plenty of parking spaces and facilities, toilets, ice-cream parlor, a small bicycle shop/museum, a small lake and a couple of miles of walking paths, De Schorre has plenty to offer to your own pint-sized monsters...

A great visit and day out
Jul. 2020 • Family
I had heard several people talk about Boom and the forest whereby 7 wooden trolls were to be discovered. This park is so tastefully designed, parking is easy within 3 zones. All walkable. The grounds are really clean, grass, paths, picnic areas and hidden trolls to find. We walked around, little paths and off beat barefoot paths too. The size of the wooden trolls are amazing and brings out the child in everyone. We walked down to the restaurant and had drinks outside. There’s a child playpark too. Bowls for dogs for drinking. Pitch and put, bikes to hire and pedal water boats. We only went for 2 hours, will go back soon and plan a long day there. Whoever designed this park, well done!

Fantastic park

Beautiful park in Boom, with the bridge of unity, look out for the wooden plague in the middle from the UN. Also best visited when tomorrowland is on

A great day trip that is off the beaten track
Aug. 2019
I went to De Schorre Park because I wanted to see the trolls of Thomas Dambo, a Danish artist who uses recycled wood to build his trolls. I was super happy (and not disappointed) to see the trolls, but I discovered that this park has much more to offer. Loverly nature area with well maintained trails, a small pond, a little hill, and friendly locals to chat with. It is great for family or travelers of any age. It is only about an hour from Brussel, making it a great day trip that is off the beaten track. If you finish the day early, before taking the bus back to Brussel, you can walk along the river (to the next bus stops). There you will find a lovely little outdoor beer and snack place like a beer garden.
