I walk here periodically. It is a good nature park with a loop walk ability. There are some birds, ducks, and squirrels. You can cross street to make it longer and look Lake Park. It is usually not too busy.

The HB forefathers should be commended for saving such a large space for a park like this. The park offers so much variety for outdoor enjoyment, from picnicking, bike riding and walking. The lake while a nice distraction in the summer looks a bit putrid....More

While I was walking through Central Park near Slater and Gothard I became afraid. There were coyotes or some other wild animal ( feral dogs?)that were rustling in the bushes. I’m not going this route again it’s not safe

Central Park offers peace and a really nice place to picnic. Play football with your kids, go for a jog or just walk the dog, They also support the Re-inaction of the Civil War days, along with other holiday specialties.

Great place to run, walk, or take your kids or dogs. Lots of paved trails, open grassy areas, and large, old trees. Pre-dawn, look out for wild rabbits and skunks. There are bathrooms and a restaurant on site and a few different free parking lots.
