I don't know why, but this beach, this pier, this area—always resonated with me as "old school". Even the newer concrete has a feel of old permanence about it.

Only about 4 or 5 miles from the pier and has a cycle/walk path to. Very easy as no hills and a lovely bar at the end for refreshments

Great food spots new to Bolsa Chica! Try Sealegs. Great beach camping and bonfires. Poorly run parking and watch out for stingrays!
