The walk in this area was very interesting. My husband had read about the way they treat the water in this area and we wanted to go and explore. It’s very nice to have the mountains wrap around you as you wander through the wetlands....More

Found this place while looking for the Friendship park and to be honest, a bathroom. I don't know if the beach was part of the reserve but it was a peaceful place to walk and enjoy for an hour or two. The research building had...More

I didn’t actually go to the Reserve but viewed it from the other side. If you follow Seacoast Drive south all the way to the end, you will come to a beach area on the right and a boardwalk on the left. This area shows...More

This appears to be a beautiful facility overlooking the Tijuana River Estuary. We parked in the ample parking lot and walked aout 30 feet to the entrance only to find it closed on both Monday and Tuesday. The outdoor signage and graphics on the pavement...More

This spot has miles of trails and choices for a refreshing walk with sweeping views of the ocean. The visitor's center has trail maps and a to-scale map of the entire estuary on the ground. Adjacent to this center is a free parking lot. You...More

This estuary, in between the San Diego and Tijuana metropolitan areas, has been nicely preserved. We enjoyed quietly hiking the trails and observing the bird activities. The rangers at the visitors center are very kind, knowledgable, and eager to help newcomers get the most out...More

I wouldn't necessarily travel here to check it out, but if you're in the area it's a nice place to walk around. It has nice views of the open land and you can see Tijuana over the hill. The lights are night look beautiful.

Great place for schools, teachers, students and visitors to learn about the estuary, its wildlife, birds, marshes, natural environment, climate, the Tijuana River and the ocean. Visitor center needs support as it's future is endangered by the current anti-climate, anti-environment federal administration. Please donate if...More

Very peaceful here. Stopped by on Fathers day and had a very enjoyable walk. Saw several beautiful birds enjoying their life here.

The Visitor Center is wonderful, the information is helpful. The day we were there, however, was the day after over 300,000 gallons of raw sewage from Tijuana went into the river. We didn't feel like doing any hiking that day.
