Here in Orange County, having a mall indoors is not a requirement. The Irvine Spectrum is large, outdoors, and has tons of eating from fast food to fine dining. Somehow, this place is more fun to go than other malls; I do not like malls generally, and this one tops my list.

If you want to enjoy the outdoor ambiance of what SoCal has to offer, I highly recommend shopping at the Irvine Spectrum. They look great after the renovation with great stores that will fit your budget. It's more reasonable than the South Coast Plaza and it offers casual dining that are ideal for the entire family. Food outlet options are... More

Lots of good stores to look in. Big shopping area with few decent places to get a quick bite. I liked that there were stores that I have never been into. Outdoors center with plenty of walking space

Irvine Spectrum Center has come a long way indeed in the past 5 years. It is now pushing Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza for customers. On a Friday or Saturday nite the place is packed. Plenty of good parking/Edwards Theatre/great food(PF Chang's, California Pizza Kitchen, etc.)/great stores. Not nearly as expensive as FI or South Coast. See you there!

There's a good variety of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. We rode the big ferris wheel and it was worth the $5 per person price we paid. There's also a merry go round but we didn't ride it. Parking in the garage was a challenge but it could be due to a show being held nearby or movie goers.

....with many restaurants. Beautiful Moroccan architecture. Great for strolling and shopping. Merry go round for both adults and kids. Gets busy on weekends/evenings.

Irvine Spectrum has shopping mall to theater, giant wheel to icecream yogurt, coffee, good to hang out on the weekend and even in the evening.
