A bit off the beaten path, but worth the effort, Noah Purifoy was a visionary far ahead of his time and thankfully his legacy is being preserved out here. Make your way out, and PLEASE, pay the $3 donation fee to help keep this preserved for generations of art lovers to come. It's not art for everyone, but read the... More

I checked this out based largely on the positive reviews I saw on TA, as I was in the Joshua Tree area. It did not disappoint! Although the creator is no longer with us, his art lives on. I'm not a real discerning art critic, but several of these "assemblages" really spoke to me, and were quite clever. The fact... More

First of all, this museum is on BLAIR Lane not Bair Lane, which may make this remote desert art museum gem more accessible for those using GPS to find it. If you are someone interested in modern art and already exploring and enjoying the uniqueness of the city of Joshua Tree, you would definitely enjoy this museum. Do pick up... More

This is really something worth going! Its hard to explain what that is but basically its art pieces made of trash placed in the desert. It maybe doesnt sound that interesting but as you get there the place got you. Atmosphere is inexpessible! It is in the middle of the desert and it is really quiet place so all the... More

If you love "found art' and are a hoarder at heart, you'll feel like you've died and gone to heaven. This is a vast collection of cast-off items that have been reassembled into delightful, whimsical and often thought provoking displays. Noah Purifoy has created a wonderful fantasy land that is a delight to wander through and although I've been here... More

We were recommended this place and knew we had to stop as we had some artists in the group. Definitely worth the visit- it's truly incredible to witness Noah's playground of sculptures.

Go tot he desert and see this place. I went and it was amazing. It is very quiet here. Just me and the rabbits while I was here. I had seen the art museum exhibit at LACMA and at the Wexner Center. Those were good. This is great.
